【AUBERGE】Recreating the essence of 1950s Levi's with Sea Island cotton. New release "DAVID".

The blue color, which is both light and deep at first glance, is the result of the auberge's meticulous analysis and selection of only the finest materials.
1. Reconstructing the 1950s "DENIM FAMILY" using 100% Sea Island cotton.
The core of this textile collection lies in the complete reproduction of "DENIM FAMILY," the lightweight denim line that Levi's offered in the 1950s.
The auberge analyzed this historical document at the electron microscope level. The material used is 100% West Indian Sea Island cotton, and in order to reproduce the uneven texture characteristic of the spinning machines of that era, we created custom-made yarn (7 count for warp and 14 count for weft) after numerous prototypes.
Warp threads: Using 100% pure indigo with no additives, the light, bluish tones of the time are reproduced using rope dyeing.
Weft yarn: Based on an analysis of the original garments, we used yarn that was deliberately dyed gray with sulfur dyes, rather than simply using a top gray.
This is woven on an old-fashioned shuttle loom at the same "2/1 weave (2 panels 1)" density as back then. Using the world's finest cotton, this is an extremely luxurious denim that perfectly captures the "imperfect beauty" of the 1950s.
2. Bringing 1940s US Army designs to modern three-dimensional aesthetics.
While retaining the rugged details of vintage pieces, the pattern-making process elevates them to a "three-dimensional and beautiful form" that was not present in the original items.
Furthermore, washable leather is used on the collar and the edges of the inner pockets, adding an elegant texture that transcends the boundaries of workwear and is characteristic of an auberge.
