Since I'm going to get one anyway, I'd like to get the top and bottom to match.
These sweatpants have arrived to go with the crewneck sweatshirt I introduced the other day. The reason is simple: if I can make a set using the same fabric, that's definitely the better option. This is a new selection for this season.
My first impression upon picking it up was the same as with the top. Despite being cotton, it's incredibly soft. It drapes beautifully against the body.
When worn as a set, the materials of the top and bottom match perfectly, creating a cohesive look. Paired with a crewneck sweatshirt, it creates a complete outfit in itself.
But these pants work perfectly well even when worn separately. In fact, I'd like to talk about these pants on their own.
The waist can be adjusted with a drawstring, and the hem is elasticized.
Even so, it doesn't come across as tacky.
There's probably a moment when sweatpants just look "sloppy." The reasons could be several—the fabric being too thin, the silhouette being too loose, the hems being poorly finished—but usually it boils down to a poor design.
These HERILL pants maintain a relaxed volume in the crotch area without creating excessive flare towards the hem. The silhouette remains intact whether you're sitting or standing. It's a simple concept, but achieving that simplicity is difficult.

These pants are made from the same fabric as the TOPGRAY top. Just as the sleeves and body have slightly different tones, these pants, though a single color, also create subtle shadows and shifts in the light. I think the sense of unity when worn as a set is the strength of this gray.

I want to describe BLACK using the same words as I did for the crewneck. There's nothing superfluous about it; it's simply elegant. Black sweatpants can easily look too sporty if you're not careful. These pants don't fall into that trap.

If you're going to wear it as a set with a crewneck sweatshirt, choose the same color without hesitation. Top gray with top gray, black with black. A set with perfectly matching fabrics is a luxury that's not as easy to come by as you might think.
