Why is a shirt made of this material special?
A new series using silk noil has arrived from INTÉRIM. It includes two types of shirts (BLACK and NATURAL), one type of wide dress pants (BLACK), and one type of square stole (BLACK). This series allows you to create tops, bottoms, and accessories using the same fabric.

Silk noil is a fabric woven from short fibers—essentially "waste cotton"—that are produced during the silk spinning process. While regular silk uses long fibers (long-staple silk yarn) drawn from cocoons, the short fibers produced during that process are called noil.
Differences from regular silk
While regular silk is made from long fibers drawn from cocoons, silk noil is made by spinning short fibers. Therefore, it does not have the strong luster of regular silk, but has a moderately rough texture and a slubby feel (surface fuzz). When you touch it, it has a unique dry texture within the smoothness of silk.
The functionality of silk remains unchanged.
Because the material is 100% silk, it possesses all of the following properties that are typical of silk.

What is silk noil?
