We have started handling the New York sandal brand JUTTA NEUMANN, also known as the Rolls Royce of the sandal world. At ALZAC Kamakura, we have selected two classic styles, ALICE and SIMONE, for the 2025 Spring/Summer model.

JUTTA NEUMANN is a New York leather sandal brand created by German female designer JUTTA NEUMANN.
JUTTA NEUMANN was born in Germany and moved from Paris to New York in the mid-1980s, where he began making leather accessories. After training as a leather craftsman in New York, he opened an atelier and shop in New York's East Village in 1994.

LATIGO LEATHER is said to have originated during the American Westward Expansion, and was used as horse tack. It is a durable leather that contains plenty of oil to withstand harsh environments. Steerhide (leather from adult male cattle that were castrated at 3-6 months of age and are at least 2 years old) is mainly used, and it has a firm texture. Vegetable tanning makes it durable and robust, and it is then saturated with plenty of oil and grease, giving it a water-resistant texture.
The leather is thick and stiff when you first put them on, but it becomes softer with use, improving the texture and allowing you to enjoy the changes over time.

Japanese people tend to have high insteps and wide feet, so if this applies to you, you may need to go up one size.
The key is to choose the right size so that your heels don't hang out.
At first, the leather strap at the top may feel a bit tight, but after wearing them for a summer it will soften and stretch, providing a comfortable fit.
