ANATOMICA's autumn / winter essential item, "BEACH CLOTH VEST". It is the first place that revived the vintage masterpiece workwear item with an interpretation like Anatomica.
This time, we would like to inform you about Anatomica's beach cross vest, commonly known as BB vest.
What is BEACH CLOTH?
BEACH CLOTH refers to the material used for Browns beach jackets and vests manufactured by BROWN'S BEACH JACKET COMPANY, which was established in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1901.
Browns beach jackets and vests have been favored by many workers and outdoor men because they are tough and have excellent protection against the cold and functionality.
Although it declined and disappeared in the 1960s, it is still traded at high prices in the vintage market and is so famous that American workwear lovers have heard its name once.
The Russell knit fabric used for them has a two-layer structure of cotton knit (Russell knit) on the front side and wool fleece on the back side. The fleece on the back side accounts for more than 70% of the total, and by applying a fairly strong brushing, it changes to a highly durable fabric.
At Anatomica, we independently researched the Russell knit and faithfully reproduced it in Japan under the name BEACH CLOTH.
